OP052: Cylindropuntia echinocarpa (hardy, silver spined form) COLD HARDY CACTUS Zone 7 Greenish-gold flowers at the baseNEW! This is by far the hardiest Echinocarpa type cholla that I've grown. I got it years ago from Don Campbell in Grand Junction, CO. I don't know it's original locale. This form is compact, with clubby stems sheathed in silver spines. Our 20 year old plant is only 2 feet tall and 1. 5 feet wide. Hardy to zone 5. Sold in 2. 5 inch pots. Yellow flowers in June July.
