He was inspired by the military footwear worn by British soldiers in the Sahara Desert which were made in Cairo's Khan el Khalili bazaar. For the Engineered Garments collaboration Daiki Suzuki chose the Desert Khan, a low cut variant of the classic desert style named after the Egyptian bazaar where the original boots were made.
