2020 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo DOCG, Piedmont, Italy 1.5L Magnum Alessandro Viola VINEYARD: A blend of JaenThis is the estates single Barolo, a traditional blend of Nebbiolo from Cannubi, San Lorenzo, Ru (Barolo) and Rocche dellAnnunziata (La Morra), co fermented to express the whole territory rather than single crus. Fermentation takes place in old concrete vats with native yeasts, followed by an extended maceration under cappello sommerso; in 2020 the wine spent about fifty five days on skins. levage is in large Slavonian oak botti for roughly thirty
