Selaginella ludoviciana Avery Island Pogonia We made this selection inSelaginella ludoviciana 'Avery Island' is a little known Southeast (Florida panhandle to Mississippi) coastal native spikemoss, that's quite rare, and considered vulnerable (G3 rank) through most of its range. It's first cousin to the superficially similar looking, but wider distributed Selaginella apoda. Our offering is propagated from plants on the Avery Island salt dome, the westernmost native population. Gulf spikemoss is a low growing, spreading
