Circa 1998, designed by CMSgt Herbert "Butch" Gall (Cable Dawg). In 1993, this badge replaced Communications Electronics lightning bolts badge with this one with rockets in the eagles talons. All Air Force maintenance to include aircraft maintenance were authorized to wear this badge. The Comm Electronics badge with lightning bolts in eagle talons was authorized until 1998 and this badge was the only one allowed
