It was originally introduced to English plant explorer, Henry Elwes by Scottish gardener, Sam Arnott, in the early 1920s. For us, starting in early February, it produces an abundance 1' tall stalks, tipped with white bells, with the central cup tipped green. Average to moist soils are fine.
