2023 Duchesne Freres Bourgogne Pinot Noir Les Chaumottes, Burgundy, France Sazerac sweetness and flavours in generalFrom the limestone and marl soils of Les Chaumottes, Duchesne Frres ferments with partial whole clusters and raises the wine in older barrels to keep the focus on lift and precision. The 2023 shows bright red cherry and strawberry, rose petal, and a gently herbal snap from the stems, carried by lively acidity and fine, silky tannins. A clean, mineral marked finish underscores the cool, mid slope character of the site. A vibrant, site transparent
