Domaine la Bouissiere Gigondas Blanc Les Safres 2023 Grower Champagne Named Whisky Advocate's 'Distiller ofGigondas is overwhelmingly red barely a handful of producers bother with white which makes this bottling from Domaine la Bouissiere a small treasure. Les Safres takes its name from the sandy soils ('safres') of the parcel, which give the wine a lift and a delicacy you don't always associate with the southern Rhone. The blend is 100% Clairette, fermented and aged in older French oak barrels on fine lees, keeping the texture detailed rather than heavy.
