2022 Cascina Lieto 'Sage' Rosso, Piedmont, Italy Guillot-Broux Aged 14 years on-site inFrom the tiny, organic micro estate of Hiroto & Rie Sasaki in Castiglione Tinella, this is a field blend red built on Barbera Grosso and Freisa, grown on clay limestone loess hills and hand harvested in micro lots. The fruit is fermented with native yeasts in open top vats using gentle daily pump overs, then aged in neutral barrels and vats (no new oak), bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with very light sulfur.
