2023 Weingut Velich Welschriesling, Burgenland, Austria Lenkey 2024 vintage flagship straight bourbonFrom 65 year old vines rooted in the sandy, gravelly soils of Apetlon, Velichs Welschriesling Alte Reben redefines the potential of this often underestimated variety. Spontaneously fermented in large oak barrels and aged on full lees for a year. All the yellow fruits you'd expect but with the saline flavors that are so original to limestone soils in the Seewinkel region.
