Old Painted Wooden Field Decoy (with Lots of Shot Marks) Native pottery it is stuck on prettyA charmer of an old wooden field decoy I think, which was definitely put to workthere are shot marks all over one side. Im not an expert but think it might represent an American Oystercatcher with its bright yellow eyes and long beak, black head and white belly. All the better for the twist of old wire still attached to one side, which was threaded rather beautifully through three nailed loops. 14 1 2" long measured straight from tip of beak to tail;
