which a handwritten note on reverse describes as  depicting (I think it reads) "Bear Mountain and Pond" (there's a bridge mentioned too

Liberty-esque Antique Grulich Pointing Angel king and some of the powderI took her for Lady Liberty before I realized she was an angel, and I love the conflation. This is a Grulich nativity figure not too far a cry from German Erzgebirge carvings, but their own thing, created in what is now called Krliky in the Czech Republic, at the foot of the Eagle Mountains in Northern Bohemia. Apparently, Emperor Joseph II. forbade any Christmas nativities in churches, after which, beginning in the early 1800s, the Grulich area began
