I’ve been having a bit of a moment with carvings of eagles in one form or another of late

I have done some research and believe it dates to the very late 19th or very early 20th century

"The Guide to Happines" Christmas 1848 Punch Paper Embroidery Bookmark vintage w German pottery but everything else seems toQuite an early punch paper embroidery, dated Dec. 25, 1848, and I think a pretty great one, casting the bible as "the guide to happiness" minus one "s". Pretty wreath of greens encircling the book, and lovely silk ribbon for the bookmark too. All in remarkably good condition. Embroidery itself: 3 5 8" x 2". Overall: 13 1 2" x 2 3 8". Very very good condition.
