with a little cracking to the paint around the beak and minor paint loss in a couple of spots
Not a lot of whole lot of carving went into this one

Edna Mohler's Maple Leaf, 1910 Crayon Drawing ornate wooden box with no flaws at allA very October feeling sort of a maple leaf in this radiant yellow, with just a bit of orange too, and I really love the manner of those handwritten "L"s, echoing the line of the leaf of the stem, and evoking the gesture of a feaf fluttering to the ground. A bit of a transcendent one I think. (And long live the land of the Maple Leaf!) 9 1 4" x 6", crayon on paper with ink lettering. Good condition, bright and strong color, with some toning to upper
