William Bowyer, 18th century English printer and literary editor Size:Large: 7 x 5in the print is embossed 'CharlesWilliam Bowyer, 18th century English printer and literary editor, (1800). Bowyer (1699 1777) became printer to the Royal Society in 1761. In 1767 he was appointed the printer of the rolls of the House of Lords and the journals of the House of Commons.
