Silver Painted Old STRING Tin (with twine inside) large sculpture I think it is possible

I think it is possible that this lovely treen box is a snuff box

The wooden crosses--one stained green on both sides

and perhaps a few tiny chips in the mosaic tile

There is a bit of tearing /loss to the surface of the paper along the bottom edge and one stray hair suspended under the glass--no matter to my eye

Silver Painted Old STRING Tin (with twine inside) large sculpture I think it is possibleI'm not quite sure when this tin was painted silver and labeled with tall thin hand painted white letters reading "string," but it looks as if a good many years ago, and certainly seems product of a great depression sensibility, when string saving became a habit. The paper label still stretched across the bottom of the tin suggests it's quite an old one, I believe a tobacco tin. Found in Maine, with twine and a pencil inside, as seems just right. A
