Beautifully Constructed Antique Cricket Stool with Carved Stretchers painted wood figure though lovely just for displayThis sweet little stool feels to me quite Shaker esque in its sensibilities, and was beautifully constructed, with the stretchers running between the legs in both directions hand carved to fit just right, which makes it quite a sturdy one too. Terrific proportions, hand forged iron nails joining the legs to the top, which have bled a little in a very nice way, and tiny tiny nails where the stretchers meet the legs.
