I love the wonderfully graphic treatment of the birds, rendered in a warm, brownish black, with round bodies, upturned beaks, and charmingly stick like little legs and feet. This piece was created at Lapid Pottery Works in Tel Aviv, Israel, a pottery founded shortly after the state of Israel was formed post WWII in
