I purchased it at the estate sale of a family of artists who had many wonderful things

and with no apparent impact on the strength of the handle

Very nicely made, and a reminder of the seashore anytime one wears it! 3 1 4" wide x 1" tall x 1 4" deep and in very good vintage condition. I've polished the silver some and it could be polished a bit more. Pin closes securely with a clasp. There is a maker's mark and "Sterling" stamped on the back.
