1863 Blanchard's Arithmetic Book with Hex Carved in Leather Cover cloth mask resulting in one loose pageThere is no title page in this one, but an inscription tells us that a Robert Krighes (or similar) of Fort Edward (NY), who bought it December 8, 1865, about 6 months after the end of the civil war. You likely know by now if you are reading this how much I like old books as objects, and what I love most about this one is that there is a hex sign deeply scratched into the leather cover, it looks like with a knife blade.
