Galatea Married mb-width 793 The Queen takes part in'Galatea Married', 1866. Galatea rides a chariot with two satyrs sitting in the back, their arms crossed and talking to each other. The one eyed giant Polyphemus rides along side her. The illustration shows a scene from John Gay's libretto for Hndel's 'Acis and Galatea', and is based on a fragment of the Elgin Marbles in the British Museum.
