Joseph Voillot, Volnay Caillerets Vintage:2015 This isn’t quite as complex(from a small . 14 ha parcel planted in 1984). Moderately prominent amounts of oak and menthol can be found on the spicy aromas of poached plum, lilac and dark raspberry. The sleek, refined and appealingly mineral laden flavors possess a more refined texture before culminating in a firm, serious and built to age finish. This well made effort will also need at least a few years of cellaring to soften as its presently relatively tightly wound.
