I've gotten so that the backs of frames like this mean as much to me as the front

I love the relationship between the curvaceous form of the bowl and the almost wave-like black pattern that runs horizontally across its surface

and the perfect complement to most anything one might display in it

Which is much of why I like them! Also, when I first looked at them, the way their arms are positioned and bodies tight against one another, I thought they were conjoined twins! Such excellent expressions on their faces, and very excellent ringlets and outfits too. With hand pinked cheeks, c. 1870s early 80s I believe. 3 9 16" x 2 7 16". Very good condition. A. H.
