The cardboard I believe was not too long ago glued to a piece of foam core to stabilize it

and I have not inked it up to try it

A box for storing silver diaper pins? Or locks of hair? A container for a child's ashes? A mold? I really have no idea, but find it quite an evocative and slightly haunting object. Definitely pewter and I assume British, with a mark that looks to read ICH together with a lion. 4 9 16" l x 3" w x 4" t. Overall very good I
