Slaves Celebrating Liberation mb-height 6283 he was imprisoned in the'Slaves Celebrating Liberation', c1860s. A racist depiction of slaves at the mansion of Robert W Barnwell, Confederate leader. The music on the piano is upside down, ridiculling their illiteracy.
