No Third Term, Beat It! Timely Pair of 1940/1910 Pinbacks 18th century handwriting with the bendy white-painted neckI found these both digging through one old box, filled with lots of other things too, and as I pulled them out I realized they make a perfect and very timely pair. The No Third Term button was made in 1940, in opposition to FDR running for a third term as president. The Beat It button is c. 1910s I believe, with a Rube Goldberg illustration of marching drummer, I think maybe a Hassan cigarette giveaway. I would wear them prominently everyday now
