indeed it seems as though the finish is built on it

Medium in body and light on its feet

Supple tannins give shape to the finish

Jean-Marc Pillot, Chassagne Montrachet Chenevottes Vintage:2020 The 2017 Proprietary Red Wine(from Chenevottes proper). A discreet application of wood influence is present on the ripe and fresh aromas of rosemary oil, just sliced citrus and essence of pear. The rich and generously proportioned medium bodied flavors exhibit very fine punch on the youthfully austere and almost tannic finale that imparts a borderline rustic feel to it. This very solid effort will need at least a few year of keeping to round out.
