Yellow Bearded Pale Iris, Delicate Antique Watercolor Swedish man long beardI will never tire of antique folk art watercolors of flowers largely painted by women and girls and a lot about close looking, and as was explicitly noted on a watercolor of an iris by a different maker that I listed last week, in many cases these were of flowers women "raised" themselves several points of pride at once. I really like the attention paid to the petals and "beard" on this single bloom, treated a bit like a scientific specimen! Paper 7 5
