Portrait of George Back (1796-18780 mb-height 5711 Upper NorwoodFull length portrait of Back in an apparently domestic setting, standing before a fireplace over which are sculptures and an oval mirror. Back faces the left as viewed, not quite in profile. He stands on patterned rugs with a chair and table in front of him: his right hand on the chair back, the left arm held behind his back.
