Renato Ratti, Barolo Marcenasco Vintage:2011 Made from grapes grown onLa Morra. Dark, maturing ruby with orange rim. Oak and dried fruit on a nose that is a little facile. Ripe and slightly charred and creamy on the finish and with lots of coating tannins. A little constructed, but will be more compelling with a little age. (WS)
