This one has certainly seen a good amount of use

and I believe the doll is at least twice that in age

The figure is carved of wood with what looks to me like a combination of graphite for the face and either crayon or paint for the orange and black details

No real matter, it's all about this particular lonely and longing and howling to the sky old dog. No one to love none to caress & c. (I assume "c" for care, though maybe cuddle!) 2 13 16" x 2 9 16".
