Description
At Lafite the final blend was 69% Cabernet Sauvignon
but it could well do that if given a chance with at least a few years of bottle age
the 2012 has so much to offer
in Gualtallary and Altamira
Bass Phillip, Pinot Noir Estate Vintage:2019 At Lafite the final blendThe 2018 Estate Pinot Noir shows a slightly smoky, cured meat edge on the nose, no doubt from a substantial portion of new French oak, alongside hints of sous bois, cherries and beets. The fruit is sweeter and purer than in the Crown Prince bottling, more concentrated and medium bodied, with ripe, tea like tannins and bright acids on the lingering finish.
