Eleanor (1241 1290) was the daughter of Ferdinand III of Castile and Leon. Henry III of England agreed that his eldest son, the future Edward I, would marry Eleanor in return for Ferdinand's successor, Alfonso X, giving up his claim to Gascony and transferring it to Edward.
