An Iron Cross First Class; 1957 Issue Auction Archive marked "GES GESCH" (Gesetzlich Geschützt)Silvered, non magnetic, unmarked, 43. 7 mm, very fine quality, traces of paint chipping on the upper arm, extremely fine. Footnote: These de nazified awards were issued by the Federal Republic of Germany in 1957 for Veterans wear, as Second World War awards were not allowed to be worn. They were awarded only to German Veterans entitled to such awards during the War. Production of these awards ceased in 1986.
