Constructed of magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing a central raised Olympic column, topped by rings, flanked by a date of 1936, and overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of FR VERDIENSTVOLLE MITARBEIT BEI DEN OLYMPISCHEN SPIELEN 1936 (FOR MERITORIOUS
