Instituted 1944. Two piece construction, insignia in bronze gilt with red, white and blue enamels, mounted to a cross shaped base in silvered bronze with white enamels, each of the points on the cross with ball finials, unmarked, measuring 54 mm (w) x 61. 7 mm (h), original ribbon, on a traditional Spanish style horizontal hanger with pinback, intact enamels, very light contact, near extremely fine.
