This is an extremely well preserved Heer (Army) officers visor cap, constructed of smooth field grey wool with a forest green doeskin wool cap band. The cap is trimmed with three bands of white piping, with one band at the top and one each at the top and bottom of the cap band, indicating Infantry service.
