Chile, Republic. An Order Of Bernardo O'Higgins, Grand Cross, c.1967 Auction and warping to visors(Orden de Bernardo O'Higgins). Instituted 1956. Type II (1967 ). An early example of this order and of high quality, the sash badge of the order in toned silver gilt, consisting of a 10 pointed star with white enamel bordering, with undulating rays between each arms, the obverse medallion features a right facing portrait of Bernard OHiggins, surrounded by a ring inscribed BERNARD OHIGGINS CHILE, the reverse is plain, measures 45. 29 mm (w) x 51. 04 mm
