Constructed of blackened magnetic iron, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward facing profile of AH, above an inscription of ICH GLAUBE AN DEUTSCHLAND UND KMPFE DAFR HEUTE UND MORGEN UND IN DER ZUKUNFT BIS UNSER DER SIEG IST (I BELIEVE IN GERMANY, AND FIGHT FOR IT TODAY, TOMORROW, AND IN THE FUTURE WHERE OUR VICTORY IS) in Fraktur script, perforated at the top with a suspension loop, unmarked, measuring 208 mm (w) x 308 mm
