Germany, Federal Republic. A German Cross In Silver, 1956 Version Auction Archive of superb quality manufacture(Deutsches Kreuz in Silber). Constructed of silvered and patinated bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of an eight pointed double overlaid starburst pattern, with a central silvered disc overlaid by a silvered War Merit Cross with Swords, set within a circular laurel leaf wreath wrapped in ribbon and joined together at the bottom by a plaque bearing a date of 1941, trimmed along both the inner and outer edges with red enameled rings, the
