Germany, Third Reich. A National Socialist German Navy League Breast Insignia GTRexclude he received the War Merit(Nationalsozialistischer Deutscher Marine Bund Brustadler). Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, overlaid by a black and white enameled Iron Cross, on top of crossed swords, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 95 mm (w) x 54 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
