A well preserved SS portepee for an NCOs Degen, consisting of a stylized silver aluminum wire acorn interspersed with black threading, topped by a black threaded cupule, emanating from a non magnetic metal stem which in turn connects to a silver aluminum wire cord trimmed along both edges with machine embroidered black tresses, unmarked, measuring 40 cm in total length, demonstrating only minor material fatigue, in extremely fine
