Turkey, Ottoman Empire. A German Made War Medal certificate_of_authenticity Intact enamels on the badge(Harp Madalyas). Instituted in 1915. In silver gilt, five pointed red enameled star, each arm finished with ball finials, obverse center bearing a raised crescent moon encircling the Tugra (cipher of Sultan Mehmed V), horizontal pinback marked B. B & Co denoting German manufacture, 54. 8 mm, fine condition. Footnote: The Ottoman War Medal is a military decoration awarded by the Ottoman Empire. It was instituted by Sultan Mehmed V on 1 March 1915 for
