A commemorative mine rescue badge, constructed of feinsilver, the obverse presents a Maltese cross bearing crossed hammers, with a Prussian eagle holding a sword and lightning bolts, bearing a swastika across its chest, surrounded by the inscription FR VERDIENST UM DAS GRUBEN RETTUNGS WESEN (FOR MERIT FOR THE MINE RESCUE), the reverse presents a horizontal pinback, the reverse is engraved PREUSS STAATS MUENZE (PRUSSIA
