Constructed of bronzed feinzink, the obverse bearing a dedication to STABSHELFERIN MARTHA THOMAS, above engraved inscriptions of FR HERVORRAGENDE LEISTUNG (FOR EXCEPTIONAL MERIT) and DER KOMMANDIERENDE GENERAL UND BEFEHLSHABER IM LUFTGAU XI (THE COMMANDING GENERAL AND SUPREME COMMANDER OF LUFTGAU XI), topped by a raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with an engraved signature of General Ludwig
