Ulysses and Nausicaa wash Wood Street'Ulysses and Nausicaa', c1772 1845. Ulysses (or Odysseus) appearing to Nausicaa after his shipwreck. Nausicaa had been washing clothes in the river with her maids, who are shown hiding behind a tree, abashed by Ulysses' nakedness.
