A textbook example of this award constructed of silvered and patinated zinc, the obverse consisting of an oval oak wreath, joined together at the base by ribbon, topped by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, overlaying a stylized cloud from which a lightning bolt emanates and strikes the ground, the reverse is rivitless as is expected from a late war example, with an integrated
