Constructed of a wine red wool base bordered by gold threaded trimming, each topped by gilded brass rank pip in the form of a single oak leaf with two acorns and a German national eagle clutching a wreathed swastika, reverse bears Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) tag with serial number 400464, measuring 67 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), one of the eagles is missing one of its two attachment prongs, otherwise in unissued and near mint condition.
