Germany, Third Reich. A German Olympic Games Commemorative Medal visually-hidden with silver officer's badge affixed(Deutsche Olympia Erinnerungsmedaille). Constructed of magnetic iron, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing an Olympic column, topped by rings and overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, in turn flanked by a date of 1939, the reverse bearing an inscription of FR VERDIENSTVOLLE MITARBEIT BEI DEN OLYMPISCHEN SPIELEN 1936 (FOR MERITORIOUS ASSISTANCE TO THE
