'Pennantian Parrot, Female' mb-artist Jonathan_Richardson Queen Victoria had maintained aOrnithological study of a female Crimson Rosella (Platycercus elegans) native to Australia. Plate 14 from Journal of a voyage to New South Wales by John White (J. Debrett, London, 1790). The accompanying text states that: 'The female differs [from the male] in having the upper parts of the neck and body of a greenish colour' The plate is inscribed: 'S. Stone Delin. Pennantian Parrot, Female. London Published Dec: 29, 1789, by I. Debrett.' Original:
